## Everyday file chores, done on your own device

Most online converters work by taking your file away: you upload it, a server does the work, and you download the result while hoping the copy left behind is deleted. pd00 takes the opposite approach. Every tool on this site runs as code inside your browser, so a contract you merge, a passport scan you turn into a PDF or a stack of iPhone photos you convert stays on the computer or phone in front of you. There is no queue, no file-size quota imposed by a server and nothing to clean up afterwards.

The tools cover the jobs that come up again and again. Photos from an iPhone arrive as HEIC and need to become JPGs for a form or a colleague on Windows. Images saved from websites turn out to be WebP or AVIF. A pile of receipts has to become one PDF for an expense report. A scanned document is upside down, has a blank page in the middle or needs page numbers before it goes to a client. A PDF is too large to email, or needs a password before it leaves the office. Each of those has its own page here, with a tool at the top and a plain explanation underneath.

## How it works

Pick a tool, drop your files onto it and adjust the few options that matter. Conversion starts in the background while the page stays responsive, and finished files download straight to your device — one by one or together as a ZIP. Image conversion uses the libheif decoder compiled to WebAssembly for iPhone photos and the browser’s own decoders for everything else; PDF editing uses pdf-lib, and reading PDF pages for thumbnails, images or text uses Mozilla’s pdf.js. Once a tool has loaded you can even disconnect from the internet and keep working.

Because nothing is uploaded, the details you care about survive. Converted photos keep their date taken, camera information and, unless you remove it, their location. iPhone colors keep their wide-gamut profile instead of turning dull. Merged and split PDFs keep their pages exactly as they were, with selectable text.

## Check the privacy claim yourself

Every page is served with a security policy that only lets it talk to pd00.com and to an anonymous, cookieless page-view counter — the browser blocks any other destination. Open your browser’s developer tools, watch the Network panel while a tool runs, and you will see the page load its own code and nothing carrying your files.
